About First Cup Coffee
Rooted in Kenya since 2016, we partner with skilled smallholder farmers to grow, select, and roast coffees that tell their story. Every bag supports communities at origin—and every cup should taste unforgettable.
From the red volcanic soils to your mug, our work is guided by three promises: to honor the craft at origin, to roast with precision, and to deliver transparent, traceable quality. We obsess over ripeness, sorting, and roast curves so you can brew with confidence at home, in cafés, or at 30,000 feet.

Mission & Values
Quality without compromise. People first. Radical transparency. Sustainability from soil to sip.
Farmer First
We build long-term relationships and reward meticulous cherry selection with above-market premiums.
Roast Precision
Small-batch profiles highlight terroir—bright florals, stone fruit sweetness, and clean finishes.
Traceable Quality
Every lot is cupped, logged, and traceable—so cafés and consumers know exactly what’s in the bag.
Sustainable Future
Soil health, water stewardship, and responsible packaging are non‑negotiables in our process.
Our Coffee Journey
From bean to cup — the meticulous path behind every bag.
-
Harvesting
Cherries are handpicked at peak ripeness by skilled farmers who carefully select only the best.
-
Processing
Washed and honey methods remove mucilage with care, developing clarity and sweetness.
-
Drying
Beans dry slowly on raised beds, turned often, and covered during midday sun and rain.
-
Roasting
We roast to accentuate origin character—tracking rate of rise and development for balance.
-
Packaging
Beans rest, then are sealed in valved, airtight bags to lock in aromatics and freshness.
-
Brewing
Your turn—dial in a recipe and enjoy. We include brew guides with every order.
Sustainability & Impact
We reinvest at origin and hold ourselves to measurable goals.
